Trafalgar Square

A green tea leaf
chases your tongue around your mouth
stalking your taste buds
like evolutionary Christmas pudding
with the annoyance of odd socks

Its job is to give you a hard time
and it's a grey day for texture anyway

Food is too expensive for the poor
and there's a forest in Trafalgar Square--
another testament to all our craziness

But it's not enough just to feel guilty,
is it?
There must be more we can do
to help offset all the bitterness
swilling around the world
