Wasted Thoughts

Standing , facing the cold mirror
a mind  racing through a memory
recalling the gone years ,
all the people who aren't here
gone life , the end we fear .

I hear the click , the sprung door
a flourescent flicks , a tiled floor
all thoughts depleted
it's time to leave here
better get back to
the place I'm seated ,
all currency is poor
checking change once more
how many people live a life they abhore .

There's a world of chances
for many to get
all these drinkers and dancers
are in here to forget
the good life they have , though complain about it
jewellry does flash , diamond inset .

Clustered in this bay
they rust and rot away
these people must have thoughts
their mouths disallow them to say .
Catapulted into the void
around the constellation
unspoken thoughts they embroid
awaiting reincarnation
for to be re employed
only maybe for a day ,
these people dont know
that they've blown themselves away .

I'm leaving this place
of dirty walls , failed ideas
and  bloodstained  faces
carved in the floor under my heels ,
Intoxicated feet
do stumble as they walk
amid the heavy fleet
of more life wasted and it's thoughts .
