Final Goodbye

Bloody hand prints against the white wall
Crawling on her hands and knees to the door

Her blood trailing behind her, staining the floor

Killer comes closer from behind, silently biding his time

Exhausted, pain beyond endurance, fighting for her very soul

Gasping for oxygen her lungs starving for fresh air to breathe

While laughing he bends on his knees, hand pulling on her leg

Crying from the unfairness of it all she starts to squirm from his grasp

Kicking and screaming, finding her one ounce of strength she succeeds

Before she escapes his arms grab her from behind

Turning her over, seeing the sickness in his eyes

A finger trails down her cheek saying it will all be over soon

Her eyes close shut, a lonely tear escapes, knowing she’s about to die

He kisses her lips softly for one final goodbye..
