I tried to visit you at work today
but you weren't in
so I just left
and gave in
some things are better
left forgotten
I thought I was over this
but some battles you just
can't win
and we've been over this
a familiar situation
but today your picture
appeared on my facebook
feed
and my heart yawned
like a hungry mouth
full of need
affection is sometimes
the only thing
keeping me going
and from you
sometimes it's
the thing I need.
