Old Flames

I'd like to take a moment and tell you about the trials and tribulations about those that I loved before I met you.
Lover number one, was sweet and sincere,
He said I had nothing to fear.
He said he wanted me for all time, he wanted to be mine.
Then somehow he changed and said It couldn't go on for long.
No reason why nor a simple answer just left without saying good bye.
Lover number two, was lovely and honest, but somehow
Thought it'd be nice to talk about me behind my back.
He lacked maturity, saying he was good to me and told me
" you'll never find no one better than me".
Ugh what an ego he had.
Lover number three was bad for me.
But, love is so blind it felt right when it was wrong.
I fell for his schemes, he made me believe he was the one.
I'm smarter than that, but he made a fool out of me.
Then out of nowhere he had another on the side.
She threatened me and tried to hurt me when it should be him not me to be cussed out for stepping out.
I left him, but he kept coming back to me,
He was like a deadly disease that I couldn't help, but catch.
Stupid me, let him in, but he deceives me again.
Lover number four was someone I wish I held on to.
He truly loved me and cared about me, but stupid me
Thought about lover number three and went back to him
leaving lover number four alone. Alone behold lover number three cheats on me and leaves me lost and lonely.
Stupid me, should've realized he was no good for me.
I've been hurt, but I've learned a lot along the way.
There's no need cry, I have myself and you by my side.
I say good bye to my old flames for they are nothing, but distant memories that taught me more about love.
I've learned my mistakes and why I was who I was.
Old flames, I say good bye and farewell and go to hell and burn away so you can be free from the past I live again in rebirth.
