Reality Check
As I sit on the edge
of the roof,
I look down at the street
below.
"Just jump,
no one will know."
"They'll simply think you
slipped and fell."
'Eh,
not today.
You can go to hell.
I'm just up here
to tune my guitar.
I've come this far,
I'm not going to throw it all away
just because
you told me to.
I can do this.
Someday,
I'll be able to safely say that
I got through this.
