Undertakers Eulogy

Mom, Dad, Aunties and uncles.
Cousins, brothers ,sisters and colleagues.
One by one as they enter this hall filled with pictures of you
And freshly laid tears,
They have come to say goodbye
To their beloved one.
Thereafter to be laid to rest within this earth,
Which will hold you dear.
With a concrete stone as your address
So ALL these people can still come see you,
With memories and flowers
As if you’ve never left.
 
BUT
The mind and heart don’t see eye to eye..
For that is what my heart saw.
 
Locked within the prison of his solitude,
He was suffering from the pain of loneliness.
And as his poor soul couldn’t take it anymore
he died…
With Starvation for companionship,
Being his cause of death.
 
You lived your whole life as a ghost
Where it was like no one could notice you.
But why?
Why didn’t You have any family?
Why didn't you have any friends?
Why couldn’t you speak out and let the world hear
That you NEEDED someone.
 
It was only after,
After I had the conversations with the hypothetical you
That I realized…
That Silence speaks if you listen.
 
You knew people would always betray you
So you cut them all out.
But silly man, that only led to your downfall…
(Sigh)
I wont be burying you because I don’t want you to hurt no more
The fact that you were only found 15 days after you died,
Means you suffered from this loneliness far.too.long.
I will spread your ashes across this earth
so you can grow into beautiful flowers,
Instead of me burying you In a cold wooden box
And no one coming to see you…
(sigh)
 
I do not know who you are.
But now your existence is jus a memory.
Memories of nobody…
 
 
Are you also afraid of dying alone?
