Our Fights, For Moments
My memories of you are incomplete,
at my own expense,
I erased.
One fight,
rings loud,
and kills me inside.
That night brings me to my knees,
when I remember.
I would,
at any moment,
trade that night,
for one more hint,
at our past happiness.
The bottle burned,
my throat,
and my conscience.
The fire set ablaze,
your face and mine,
as well as the time,
and place.
At some point,
I want to see you again,
but not until I remember,
a past moment,
with you.
I cannot say,
I remember your voice,
as well as I should.
I cannot say you need to love me still,
but please don't hate me,
for what i've done,
or becoming who I am today.
Send me a night,
that makes you smile,
with me in it.
Know me again,
better than I ever knew you
at my own expense,
I erased.
One fight,
rings loud,
and kills me inside.
That night brings me to my knees,
when I remember.
I would,
at any moment,
trade that night,
for one more hint,
at our past happiness.
The bottle burned,
my throat,
and my conscience.
The fire set ablaze,
your face and mine,
as well as the time,
and place.
At some point,
I want to see you again,
but not until I remember,
a past moment,
with you.
I cannot say,
I remember your voice,
as well as I should.
I cannot say you need to love me still,
but please don't hate me,
for what i've done,
or becoming who I am today.
Send me a night,
that makes you smile,
with me in it.
Know me again,
better than I ever knew you
