The Color White
A blank sheet
Has so much potential
In the right hands it can become so much
Or so little
The color white is empty
Desolate
But holds the shape-shifting transformability
That all humans crave
Because a simple sheet of paper
Can become such a masterpiece
It can be shaped
It can be inscribed upon
It can be changed
And it can change people
A clean slate
A fresh start
Brand new
A blank sheet
Colored white
Awaiting its author’s touch
Or its painter’s brush stroke
Becomes something beautiful
Not because of the image it shows
Or the words it displays
But because of the story held deep within the white
The beginning
The emotion
The intimacy between creator and creation
What is held within is the true beauty of the page
It’s the story inside it
Not the story upon it
Has so much potential
In the right hands it can become so much
Or so little
The color white is empty
Desolate
But holds the shape-shifting transformability
That all humans crave
Because a simple sheet of paper
Can become such a masterpiece
It can be shaped
It can be inscribed upon
It can be changed
And it can change people
A clean slate
A fresh start
Brand new
A blank sheet
Colored white
Awaiting its author’s touch
Or its painter’s brush stroke
Becomes something beautiful
Not because of the image it shows
Or the words it displays
But because of the story held deep within the white
The beginning
The emotion
The intimacy between creator and creation
What is held within is the true beauty of the page
It’s the story inside it
Not the story upon it
