anticipation
My frustrated fingers
Grasped at buttons
Unable to undo
Growing more impatient
Flustered as the moments
Passed and grew,
And you lay amongst my pillows
Bravely stifling a laugh
As I fumbled mightily
With each well placed clasp
And finally, with a smile
You stilled my shaking hands
And whispered … “slower”
Your voice still held a laugh
Then ever slower
Your finger traced my lips
And hovered just an inch away
But you refused to kiss
Your eyes glinted playfully
With every feathered touch
And with each chaste little kiss
I began to come one done
Until I was trembling
At your breath against my neck
Be patient love you whispered
And you lightly traced my skin
Until my voice was shaking
Yet still I had to wait
You taught me of seduction
And how seduction doesn’t rush
You taught me to draw each moment
That anticipation incites lust
