Fantastic Lore: Is there a Wrapper in the House?

Jack the Wrapper was used to so many hands
groping him and admiring his paper art. It was
for a time a happy existence to please all with
his gifts of ‘wrap’ from his heart. But he’s had
many nightmares about the times when occasions
would cause folks to tear him apart. Holidays and
birthdays were the times when he was expected
to do his part.

He hadn’t truly cared for the constant  back, and
forth of  people adoring him, One minute holding
in high esteem and the next tearing him in sections
of  varying pieces,  it was a disgrace. He liked it less
when compared to the bows,  and ribbons who always
laughed at him right in his face. So he figured one day
he’d gain their respect and from then on all would
understand his pain from where he stood. It was time to
speak on it, but he needed something to make him seem
hardcore, you know,  kinda hood. Never liking his
birthname Jack thought he had to change that first,
if he could. Lucky for him, he was blessed with  the
 gift of rap.

Now all he needs is to embrace a new name,
one that would gain him fame, and erase the
memory of that name- Jack. Because it always
left him with a feeling of unease. He hated how
all his childhood friends would constantly tease
singing, "Jack the Wrapper”  is a weak, weak
wrapper, because he's always being ripped in
two” It made him mad as those memories had
swirled in his head, then suddenly   he
thought and then smirked about what he’d do.

Awaking one morning just before Christmas,
Jack felt he was reborn...the bows and ribbons
will no longer tease him with scorn. For today,
and evermore he will be known as 'Rick The Wrapper, '
he just knew it gave him clout, and besides that it
sounded rather smooth and  dapper. “Good morning
Ribbons and Bows!" He proclaimed,  since it’s a new
day I suppose you might be wondering about those
sounds in the night.”  “I was busy planning my future
and oh how it looks so right.”  "But, right here I state
loud and clear, I have a new moniker I want you all
to hear...my name is no longer Jack,
yeah you guessed it, I’m tired of that ‘hat.’ So from
here on I shall be known forevermore as Rick The Wrapper!
Now I’m out and off, to find myself and with  that, Rick The Wrapper rolled out into a brave new world,
determined and looking forward and never  ever looking back...
