Tales of Gothic Requiems : The Breaking VOL. I

Be still my soul, hush now and partake in the maddening,
In the deadening sound of silence,
Thine wandering mind, relapse now into quiet and servitude, be calmed and meditate
You have searched for me, high and low, first in light, then in dark, among arid places, unto dizzying paths of death,
and verily I say onto you, vainly in search of cost have you found me
Child of sorrows and child of light, Come now unto me
Be not so proud, in search of cost, have I allowed you
A master to a slave, of light and life, born into dying breath, darkness and decay
I know who you are, I know you by name
a whispered shrill clinging to hope and romance,
told in dark shadows of time, hoping to stay hid,
Son of man, be not so proud,
or think you have a hold of death,
For all who live risk travel across open things and the abyss, some sink, falling into the deep dark depths, where the cruel ones await in repulsive figure, with powers granted of horror and torture unimaginable, in the complete outer dark and burning cold that extinguishes not
Some pass into life from sleep, awakening new in mind and body,
For I tell you, the spirits are strong an all is chosen, but the hearts weak, the eyes yearn for pleasure at risk of pain
Son of Man, be not so bold,
are you not of the human race, the fallen ones, the special chosen ones,
Be not so proud for the time of the breaking is among us
Liken unto gold through the fire, thine works will
be judged
