The Gates of Erebus

Spawned from the deepest parts of the guts of Chaos
Spit forth into existence, made from lasting winter
Madness in the dead of night at the eve of Titan�s light
Revelry in arts of death, a brittle splinter

I am the cold bite of shadows
Creeping in your bones and plight
How can there be a dawn
In the heart of perpetual night?

The bane of Aether, casting spells in the darkness
Brother to the dead master in bodies slow decay
I have seen the Titans fall at the foot of Olympus
Forged in the blackest armor, the helm of Hades

I come alive at the dawning of tragedy
Dread born of childhood tears, untold tears
The gates of Erebus open just for me
I am the listener to childhood fears
Childhood fears

Darkness incarnate, I am blacker than waters
The Styx churning at my passing across the sea
Currents smashing shores of Troy as Lord Poseidon trembles
The Moirai pine away as heroes bleed

Secrets shared in my company
Assassinate with shadow knives
How can there be a dawn
In the heart of perpetual night?

Fires are lit to warn off my offspring, agents
Casting the wisp of Nyx at the corners of the mind
Madness at the end of the light where Hypnos slumbers
I will embrace those asleep, I am night divine
