Cat
He lays in the dense grass
his bushy tail wrapped
around his torso
the tip flicking
in excited anticipation
as birds flit and fly
around him
his ears pull back ever
so slightly
he rolls over onto his belly
his tail extends
behind him
the birds
unaware of his agility
and speed
hover dangerously close
he leaps
front paws
reaching, claws fully extended
grasping at air
his bushy tail wrapped
around his torso
the tip flicking
in excited anticipation
as birds flit and fly
around him
his ears pull back ever
so slightly
he rolls over onto his belly
his tail extends
behind him
the birds
unaware of his agility
and speed
hover dangerously close
he leaps
front paws
reaching, claws fully extended
grasping at air
