When my loneliness gets me down
My mind drifts to nostalgia in summer dreams
Because not having you in my life
Saddens me deeply with lovers’ tears
And takes me to emotional depths
Where my soul withers.

The love hidden in my heart
Blends with the silence of a lonely night
As I lie awake staring at the ceiling
Turning over happy memories in my mind and heart,
With nothing but my own fevered dreams to comfort me.

I think back to a year ago,
When I thought we'd never part.
But all I have now is great memories,
A heart full of love and eyes full of tears.

It's frightening when all I know seems to fall apart.
Yet I pretend that I don't care to block out all the pain
However without you in my life
I feel like a Knight without his armor
And a King without his castle.
