Hope
I don't know why
I keep searching for the reason,
but I think I'll try my life for one more season.
I don't want to die,
not yet for any reason,
but I hope you'll buy
these sappy things I'm saying now.
I don't usually cry
at weddings and/or funerals.
I prefer it dry
in cities even rural.
When my mother died,
I've done things out of season.
I haven't even said goodbye.
I'm hoping she can hear me now.
But as time goes by,
Life plays the same old keys,
you bet I'll try
not to sing off key.
I still don't want to die,
so don't give me your reasons.
Hope is the biggest lie, (but it is the best)
So come on, Hope, lie to me now.
I keep searching for the reason,
but I think I'll try my life for one more season.
