Halls of the Spider King and the Temple of the Dog
As I sit upon a throne of golden words,
Behold, Something wicked this way comes
Words and music, it’s all I’ve ever known
and I really wish my heart was young,,, I know my life’s only just begun
I wish I could sing to you about the releasing of the doves,
But insides ache and are filled with old man bones,
It seems I’m dwelling in the home of the spider king and the temple of the dog
the home of Golden words, music seduces away my soul,
Leaving me wishing I was beautiful inside and out,
I want to show that I’m ready to move on
But I could never go,
Without words and music, I never would live long,
But sometimes after it rains
My eyes think they have seen the coming of the Lord,
Clouds are parted and the sky is painted, mountains sing out loud
It’s a glorious time for me
But still I wear a crown of thorns
In the halls of the spider king, and the temple of the dog
