Regina

When you left in Winter
I thought I might die
not from the freeze but from your sweet goodbye

We were the heavens
together as a lullaby
interlocking emotions illuminating the darkest sky

Sewn in the fabric of who you are
is an obligation to a promise you weren't willing to breach
I offered an avenue to escape your suffocation
but her destruction took a shot-gun and aimed it at me

I am unwilling to die for you
if you are a puppet - a dancing fool
Fighting her off gave back the freedom you deserved
but her threats on my existence made you sing like a bird

Oh Regina ,
tried to be everywhere
Lit the house up on fire , when no one was there

She was a devil with invisible horns'
She put you in jail since the day you were born

You have been torn down
I let you see light
Now you'll never know what we could have been like

She owns you
for the rest of your life
Settle in to your coffin that glows in her eyes.....
