Man-Suit

At first i hesitated
examining the body lying in front of me
it had made a fatal error
entering my domain,
my kingdom,
it walked as if he owned the very grass
it trampled on
anger once again took root
as the intruder
was cut down where he stood.

I peeled his skin
as if i was peeling a banana
grated his face as if it was cheese
flayed his bones as if it was chicken
and took my new place within the stars
and its expanding consolation.
leaning to walk with balance
on a plexus of rotation.

Walking through the mecca
the concrete jungle of legend
my feet poking out at the seems
of its well used feet
this stupid man-suit
starts to falter
then fall apart
melting in the summer heat.

As the years dissolve
like my mothers tears
I forgot who I was
I am who I am
but who am I?
the question asked
that was never answered
just another troubled soul
one of life's lost bastards.

So long since this
suit of flesh
had become my home
like a library book
stolen, lost while on loan.

Until one day
the circle becomes complete
I understand the reason
but deep inside the man-suit
I weep.

Beaten with sticks
by enemy's unseen
this flesh stripped from bone
removed from the spleen
and so to a new owner
this suit of flesh is passed
its life moved to quickly
but ended to fast.
