Hades Rising

Travel through a starless night
On the eerie waters of the Stix
Charon guides you to the shore
The kingdom of darkness awaiting you
To face eternal judgment and the truth
Insanity at the turn of the screw

Cerebus waits in the shadows
Eager and hungry for his next meal
Great beast of the underworld
Charon�s obol seals the deal

The restless dead are teeming
At the gates, wailing and screaming

Rotting flesh shine with drachmas
The smell of Acheron in the air
Wishing for the Isle of Blessed
In this darkest of despair

From Tartarus comes the sound
Of shadows forged into a crown

Judgment by the ghost, Minos
Purpose slowly slipping from the minds
Of the lost lingering dead
Where the weeping sirens pine

Time has now reached the hour
Kneel before Hades and cower

Waste away eternity in the
Fields of punishment
In the shadows where Cerebus feeds
The endless laments
The fragrant scent of Persephone
Bitter tears falling
Enthralled by past deeds, all they will see
Is Hades rising

Lo and behold as Lord Hades rises
His will shakes Olympus with thunder
In the realm of death, he makes his home
Sitting upon his obsidian throne

A face withered with eons
Patient with denizens of the deep
Elysium out of reach
Evermore where dead things creep

The world upon the axle
Revolves around bleached bone and skulls

Waste away eternity in the
Fields of punishment
In the shadows where Cerebus feeds
The endless laments
