Disenchantment due to some government inaction

Global warming gives a glimpse of doomsday scenario
Geophysicists’ warning ignored downplayed on the radio
Geological surveys of eroding grounds and sinking burrows
Growing fears in the hearts of many echo in yesterday’s sorrows

Wish we could work wholeheartedly with others worldwide
Wasteful war and political strifes—let us all set aside
Wipe away the tears of children and widowed women
World peace would bring wonder and good tidings to all men
