Fakebook

Yeah, I no longer have a use for Facebbook...for now anyway. I originally joined FB to promote my small business, and then I had an account for my poetry. After three and a half years, my business's FB account brought zero dollars to my business...it was all phony chatter and no action...so, that account is deactivated. I also have another FB account under michael g m, poet... and after checking the numbers, poetry links that I posted on my wall received little attention. And then, there's all the single middle aged women whom I met through dating...and then we Facebooked each other. Well, due to my learning disability...I cannot communicate well through 'chat', and I had a really hard time pretending to show interest in their interests, when in reality, I could not give even a tiny piece of a rat's ass about the vast majority of their posts...picture after picture of kitty cats...cutsie pictures of their kids...pictures of food...posting about a new 'love', and then reading a bunch of lovey dovey, syrupy details about the most mundane aspects of their new relationship. And then months later you'll see a bunch of those cartoon-ish looking 'men suck' type posts soon after their 'love' interest dumps 'em. Maybe it seems as if I'm trashing the things the typical middle aged female FB user likes...I'm not...I'm just reporting on what I experienced. I like all of my female FB friends...but I really despise the Facebook mentality that most users have. Plus, I got really tired of wading through the gallons of syrupy bs that flooded my FB newsfeed. I know where my audience is, and it's not with most of the Facebook friends that I did have...'cept for maybe a few fellow writers/poets. And besides, my poetry is not for middle aged females who have a mainstream mentality. Most American women want tons of fantasy in their poetry...and my poetry is strictly based on reality...fairytales are not my forte! I may have someone manage a FB page or two to promote my small business... and maybe another FB page for poetry if it will target the right audience. But I am done with Facebook as far as anything personal goes!

Thank you! I'm glad it made you laugh...'cause it really pissed off Facebook junkies! I posted this poem all over Facebook before I deactivated...and it certainly hit some nerves.  

Never been a fan of FB so lol, reading this was fun. :P
