Suicide

I looked into dark water once..
And thought longingly
Of the jump
They say that drowning is peaceful
And I had had enough…

I have also wondered if the cutting of the blade
Would help give me perspective, or a brief  reprieve from pain
And I have thought longingly of the red  welling of my skin
And swore that they’d be sorry
So sorry in the end..

So, in some ways I understand the ending of a life
Or thoughts that are so seductive and give us peace at night

But friend
If you would listen
Through your struggles and your pain
I’de tell you that your worth it and it’s okay to be afraid.

I’m sure you have heard it a million times before
I know that you are tired.
And don’t want to fight it anymore

I know something of your struggles
Of secret tears and silent screams
And I wish that I could safe you
And somehow set you free

But today I stand before you
And offer you my hand
There is always something better
Please try to understand..

Those who tormented you,
Abused  and defaced
Will pass our of your life
I promise
They will only be a phase

Don’t let it break your spirit
Nor harden up your heart
Your supposed to be imperfect
Don’t end your life before it starts
