Kill The Saint

There came one who promised all the open skies
With a winning smile, open arms
We welcomed the devil in disguise

Giving a piece of peace in our hearts
He came to us beneath the stars
An open hand in times of need
In our lives, he became a part

But soon all the lies came to light
Upon our land there came a blight
A jagged shard stabs in our faith
Into our souls, he set to rape

Unleash the rage and kill the saint
With blood-soaked rags remove the taint

Liberty for all is what the words had said
But drag them through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

What’s it’s like to live with a price on your head
You’ll be dragged through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

Living high and mighty on the hill
Revel in our sorrow just for thrills
Lending us a selective ear
Better to move in for the kill

A black robed pope high on his throne
The hem stained with blood, dust of bones
Betrayal enforced with closed fist
For freedom, we must resist

Unleash the rage and kill the saint
With blood-soaked rags remove the taint

Liberty for all is what the words had said
But drag them through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead

There came one who promised all the open skies
With a winning smile, open arms
We welcomed the devil in disguise

What’s it’s like to live with a price on your head
You’ll be dragged through the filth and grime
On the day that freedom’s dead
