Image for the poem Muse

Muse

once unstained parchment was white
but alas is no more.
did you find this illusive prince
or perhaps he found you?

forgive his breathing soul
for upsetting your mortal world
but behold the beauty of him
through your pain that grows.

drowning in his pool of liquid ink
sustaining letters of his precious thorns
while he breaths in a weary sigh
exhaling upon the opalescent tides.

longingly clinging to the colors
of his artful poetry
like bits of alphabetical orbs
you wish to make whole.

and when he cries in joy
through your wistful fingers
you envision his notions
through masterpieces of inked art.

trying to understand the circumstances
by which his wondrous ways reached you
justifying words that were lost in time
before his soul reached your pen.

realizing you were nothing before
this handsome muse came along
now this life and space
are a wondrous work of art.[/font]
