A Modern Love.
The silence broken by muffled cries,
Two lovers lay and utter their lies,
Spread thy legs for the one who is true,
But wasn’t it I, who was betrothed to you?
I wandered until I found them there,
From head to toe, bodies bare,
She begged and cried, then wept and lied,
But in me, silence flared.
When she had done, I slowly begun,
‘Why have you taken him over me?’
She sighed and groaned, then cried and droned,
‘His love is clearer to see.’
I stood and said, ‘keep his bed’
‘I’ll see you burning in hell,’
The silence that was, is beautiful because,
It is now broken by the funeral bell.
Two lovers lay and utter their lies,
Spread thy legs for the one who is true,
But wasn’t it I, who was betrothed to you?
I wandered until I found them there,

But in me, silence flared.

It is now broken by the funeral bell.
