EARTHLINGS UNEARTHED

“Want to make Mother Earth laugh?”
Tell her that humanity is going to destroy the world
After she recovers from hysterics
With a look of disgust, and a flick of her wrist
She’ll sweep the human race
Under a rug of clay layered over other
Long forgotten creatures that ruled
This, one of a billion planets, of the Cosmos
And when greater minds unearth our fossils
They too will laugh, at the arrogance of the species
That called itself, “MAN”
