Losing Feeling

I've felt love
like it fell through
my soul,
into my shoes,
and gave me
the strength
to walk
with my heart
held
in her hands,
as if she was
the only one
to hold me
above her
insecurities.

She fell
for my jokes,
my funny little
smile
that makes me
look
like a clown;
too tired of juggling
kisses and killing
Queens who could contest
for the crown.

I used to give them
my all,
now I've let my gaurd
down,
waiting for a woman
worthy
of wasting away
with my weary weight.

I try to tell them
that the truth is too
much to bare,
burnt by skeletons
still buried beneath
my skin.

I may have left
my love
in the past,
but it's too tough
for me to travel
back
to when I remember
the cold feeling of December.
