Jacob the Hunter (pt.2)
(This is the last addition to the story I'm writing. It's not completed yet, but I will continue to add on to it with time. So if you can please give comments and feedback it will be much helpful.)
Years have passed since that fateful day. Now, living amongst the king’s guards with Sir Newborn, Jacob has become a fine swordsman; hunting down the creatures that killed his family. One day after training with Newborn, Jacob overhears a conversation between two countrymen about a creature that was seen terrorizing a small kingdom nearby. “Clayton, have you heard the rumors of what happened to the town of Gavin in the Artearian kingdom?” asked Isaac. “Yes, of course I have.” James replied, “I heard that most of the town was slaughtered during the night by some sort of creature covered in fur with sharp claws and teeth.” “How true do you think those rumors are?” Clayton asked. “They can’t be true.” Isaac said skeptically.
As the countrymen continued down their path, horrid memories of that day had begun to flood Jacob’s head. As he stood there in a trance of anger and sadness, he begin to fell his body shake and a voice echoing through his ears. “Jacob…Jacob,” the voice cries out to him growing louder and louder. “Jacob…snap out of it.” As he regains his focus. He notice a pair of hands grasped on to his shoulders and the familiar voice of Sir Newborn becoming loud and clear. “Son, are you ok?” Newborn asked with a distraught tone in his voice. “Yes, I’m ok,” said Jacob. “But we must he to the Artearian kingdom and kill this creature!” And without hesitation he grabs his sword and starts down the road towards Gavin.
