ODE TO C IN THE KEY OF G

To behold a coif of scarlet hair
Evokes sweet dreams of one so fair
Of sunlight producing sheen and glare
All I can do in awe is stare
I would wonder if she has love to share
With someone who would true be there
Perhaps in my underwear
With her beside me nearly bare
We could fall into that loving snare
Of cozy comfort in a homey lair
Though I know we must take care
I am in need of a male heir
And I would relish the chance to teach and share
Life’s little lessons with a minor pair
