The Silenced Souls

We are the quiet souls,
with a small shouting voice.
And we can only hope
through a sea of static white noise
he can still hear us.
Despite being but grains of sand
on an endless beach,
we live on hope the horizon has not yet died
and he and we are still within reach.
We are the bright lights behind the dim eyes
that saw through all of the sin and all of the lies.
And we can only pray
through a blur of colours
that our own still shine
and he can still see us
despite being but molecules
fading through the canvas of time.
We live on love whilst facing the drought
In a dream we will one day fit in
beside him and be no longer shut out.
We are the soft touch with a gentle feel
who hold more faith in the unseen and surreal.
And we can only wish
in a world that will not understand
that he will still find us amid the crowd
and lead us out by the hand.
