Poems on Loneliness.

  Loneliness is
encased in a tomb
of concrete
unable to feel ,full.
unable to feel,complete.
You feel like a phantom limb.
feel dismembered
feel disconnected
a lone star in the night sky
fading each time an eye, turns away from you
or to you.
Loneliness is the background noise
of the human condition.
Stolen happiness.
Stolen like a sausage by a seagull.
to go home alone is agony
to wake alone is agony.
the unbearable weight of your own company.
loneliness is life becoming a prison
stocks, chains, the boots,the works.

2. I could never
understand
Sartre's
"Hell is other people"
because my idea
of paradise
is populated
with people
especially my favourites
but otherwise
friendly strangers.

3. I can't
understand
a character like Bukowski
it is much cooler
to be misanthropic
than lonely
but then again
I have never tried
to court coolness
like it was the women
everyone wanted to be with
but didn't dare try speak to.

4.  I sometimes think
I am a pillar of stone
Invincible
unmoveable
IRON WILL
yet
when something
or worse
someone
hurts me
turns out
I'm a pillar of salt
and easily
crumble.
