SUNSLOVE (East Beach, Galveston Island, Texas; 6-22-2000)
the waves
in this gulf
caress my
body more
sensuously
than any
lover ever
has so why
do i still
feel so
very alone
at times here
at play
all by myself
with this
intimate sea
the balance
of warmth
wet and wind
seems to
satisfy my
human skin
just enough
as the suns
love slowly
cooks me
by degrees
sautéing me
in my senses
so joyously
surrendered
to all this
salt water
sun wind
and sand
until i seem
to have no
more defenses
as im suddenly
so effortlessly
consumed
completely
by this day
like so many
countless others
which have
come and gone
before it
in this
soul soothing
heart opened
re connective
light filled
healing way

Thank you Mourganna for your own innately deep, natural ability to so passionately & kindredly relate, in a 'beyond' mere vicarious way, to so many of my (mostly older)poems, which have arisen up from my own passionately intimate, innately spiritual, soul-deep connection's, overwhelming at times, drunken with awe & wonderment at whatever spontaneously attuned experience, no matter how quiet & subtle or movingly profound it may be, whenever I find myself surrendering 'wholly' (as in 'HOLY!') into almost any timeless, one-on-one, special moment with Nature, Life, our Sacred living, Mother Earth & Conscious Universe, within this Great, Ineffable Dance of Oneness with 'SOURCE' that we, all beings & all things are so clearly & ultimately (regardless of our individual & collective level of awareness & choices) still an inseparable part of!!!... (a simple yet profound, universal 'TRUTH', which no matter how far I may wander away from at times in my thoughts, words & actions, I can nonetheless never stray too far away from & so inspired references to it (as a central theme) have always kept appearing throughout much of my poetry over many decades now & no matter how redundant it has often times seemed & how frustrated I have become at times because of it's repeated, habitual resurfacing, I have always felt that I just had to accept it & allow it to re-express itself, because I know that without it's presence in my life & consciousness, I would truly be so very lost & my life & this crazy, consciously disconnected, perpetually destructive world I live in, would neither have nor hold any true meaning nor HOPE for me & others like me at all & so as a human being, this has always been my true spirituality & greatest Strength, which has helped me not only to endure & survive all else, but to find true joy, inner peace & deeper, richer meaning in my life & hopefully always shall?!!!...
