The Pitbull

I had a pitbull once upon a time
once belonged to my  mother
but that was such a crime
the dog was like no other

so we named him D.O.G
sweetest dog there ever was
that dog meant the world to me
did all that things a dog does

first time we met he jumped up and licked my face
brindle coat, brown, copper and black
no other dog could possibly replace
I finally had someone who had my back

we always slept together in my bed
the big dog and little girl wrapped in blankets
my lovely D.O.G my chin resting on top of his head
nothing can replace him, no manner of trinkets

what a horrible fate my poor D.O.G met
too friendly for his own good
maybe I could have saved him if his fate hadn't been set
he met a fate no young dog should

he died thanks to a small little needle, small little shot
because my aunt was mad at my mother
I lost the most precious thing I had ever had, had ever got
D.O.G was a good boy and there will be no other

he was my baby
my D.O.G
