REVELATION
Rocks forging a hidden treasure left deep in a cave.
A crystal ball, sky dancing beneath years of polishing
To primordial condition, reflecting not casting, light not shadows
And finely lit halos lighting rainbows on candle lit tables,
Out through the windows and show gardens below.
The terma: a leaf of green oleander staccatoed in silver.
Like cocaine on gunpowder, the snow had peppered the scene.
The candle smoke on the crystal, the yin yang of heaven,
The earth of a heaven of a Bethlehem December when
You martyred your lambs of Judah so that your lion could be king.
For only after such suffering can one’s seven angels sing.
A crystal ball, sky dancing beneath years of polishing
To primordial condition, reflecting not casting, light not shadows
And finely lit halos lighting rainbows on candle lit tables,
Out through the windows and show gardens below.

Re: REVELATION
Really beautiful artwork; thoroughly. I loved the images of the oleander, and the heaven of a Bethlehem December. Great last line. Nicely crafted.

Thanks PS for your kind consideration - it seems sacrifice must always precede realization

You Mourganna are always a delight - yes there are Buddhist, Daoist, Christian and other undertones in this exercise in revelation - and then seven angels (save for their presence in Revelation) could have been seven stars or sisters or chakras - so long as they sing
Re: REVELATION
Very nice language here
lines are put together solidly
reads through together with ease
and a satisfying fluidity
cheers W!

We scarify one thing for another; our sins for heaven, our time for money, our soul for whatever you covet the most. Good write Whale I enjoyed reading your poem.

Melodic piece with brilliant lines ... Loved "cocaine on gunpowder" - extraordinary contrast but inevitably linked - as is the entire piece ... BRAVO!

Thanks Big Dog - yep cocaine/gunpowder says it all as a metaphor - it's called brown-brown in my motherland
