Too close for comfort.
I fell down a rabbit hole
and into your head space.
where I was greeted by my own soul
hidden behind your face.
I heard my own words
echo in your breath
as my flesh merged with your flesh
we embraced our own death.
I felt my heart move
whenever you'd sing,
and reflected on all
the love and loathing
mirrors tend to bring.
We were shadow puppets
dancing upon eachother's wall
as our minds became enmeshed
in a place were secrets crawl.
and I saw my secrets
peering out of your eyes
as fate spun a web
out of our own lies.
I felt your touch
when you were no where to be seen
and when you were there
the world morphed into dream.
I felt your pain
knotted and twisting in my stomach
like a writhing snake
until I could bare it no more
and died just to wake.
And now I feel my own pain
and I feel this alone!
it throbs in my belly
and it cuts to the bone.
As I crawl out of the rabbit hole
and venture back home.
and into your head space.
where I was greeted by my own soul
hidden behind your face.
I heard my own words
echo in your breath
as my flesh merged with your flesh
we embraced our own death.
I felt my heart move
whenever you'd sing,
and reflected on all
the love and loathing
mirrors tend to bring.
We were shadow puppets

And now I feel my own pain

As I crawl out of the rabbit hole
and venture back home.
