Girl of a Thousand
You eyes alone
Can drive me to, a thousand days
Those same eyes
That kept me here, beneath your gaze
For a thousand replays
Of all the fires we set ablaze
I feel lost again
When will it end, my driving blind
I just have to know, it is mutual
Because I never want to leave and I’m ready to run
Ready to drive; ready to fly, ready just to lose it all
And I’ll take the curve a little too fast, it’s a little too slick
You keep me driving, you keep me running
You keep me
You hands alone
Can take me to, a thousand worlds
Those same hands
That held me up, while my hair swirled
For a thousand moments furled
Into one cold starry night
I feel lost again
When will it end, my driving blind
I just have to know, it is mutual
Because I never want to leave and I’m ready to run
Ready to drive; ready to fly, ready just to lose it all
And I’ll take the curve a little too fast, it’s a little too slick
You keep me driving, you keep me running
You keep me
You skin alone
Can move me to, a thousand heartbeats
That same skin
That holds me so close, where our bodies meet
For a thousand fires to bring the heat
That melts me between the sheets
I feel lost again
When will it end, my driving blind
I just have to know, it is mutual
Because I never want to leave and I’m ready to run
Ready to drive; ready to fly, ready just to lose it all
And I’ll take the curve a little too fast, it’s a little too slick
You keep me driving, you keep me running
You keep me
Your distance alone
Can make me ache, to know you more
That same distance
That pulls us closer, to each other’s distant shore
For a thousand roads that curve, this engine will roar
And then the edge is so near, of that I’m sure
I feel lost again
As I grip the wheel
When will it end, my driving blind
I feel as if I’m upside down in the driver’s seat
I just have to know, it is mutual
Are we both feeling weak
Because I never want to leave and I’m ready to run
As fast as I can in one direction or the other
Ready to drive; ready to fly, ready just to lose it all
The car spins over the edge, I see what’s below
I took the curve a little too fast, it’s a little too slick
I fall outside but grab hold of something to keep me afloat
You keep me driving, you keep me running
I could be soaring if I weren’t so broken
If you can keep me
If you can catch me
I’ll stop running; I’ll stop driving so fast
Headlong into a thousand pieces of glass
Can drive me to, a thousand days
Those same eyes
That kept me here, beneath your gaze
For a thousand replays
Of all the fires we set ablaze
I feel lost again
When will it end, my driving blind
I just have to know, it is mutual
Because I never want to leave and I’m ready to run
Ready to drive; ready to fly, ready just to lose it all
And I’ll take the curve a little too fast, it’s a little too slick
You keep me driving, you keep me running
You keep me
You hands alone
Can take me to, a thousand worlds
