Eighteen

I've fallen in love with an angel from heaven
sent down here to be my hero
but as far as I know he doesn't see what I see
what I look back at all our memories
but I know I'll never be the same
pretty sure I found my soulmate
don't want to let him slip away

Maybe it's a dream, maybe there's no chance
maybe I need to get my heart out of my head
but I smile when he laughs, and he always cheers me up
he can keep me strong even when I've had enough
never felt anything like this before
I wish I knew just to be sure
I don't want to make a fool of myself, but I can't help
that he's my best friend, he reads my mind
we've got a connection, we're both crazy some of the time
and nothing ever made me so happy
always I want him to be close to me

He's nothing less than a blessed miracle
found me just at the right time
but I don't know what the sparkle in his eye means
the compliments and silly little things
I guess he's probably just a sweet guy
but I can't live without him
I hope he tells me if there's something more
