Just One Reason To Try

That is all i need,
Just one reason to try,
I have seen a million ways to bleed,
A million ways to die.

But an empty soul;
That i fear the most,
Void of feelings,void of goals,
The weightless life of a ghost.

There are so many reasons to be afraid,
So many reasons to be suspicious,
But nothing compares to the joy you feel,
When you find someone you can trust.

It's no surprise if i try and fail
I'm only human,i make mistakes,
But with one word of encouragement,
Any sloth will be ready to do whatever it takes.

Endlessly i chase a goal,
Restless till that which i quest is achieved,
Even though that which i seek,i do not know,
The feelings will tell when at last i see it.

But i can never do it alone,
Leaning on someone never undermines the self,
We all at one point must need a hand to carry on,
Thus;none must turn a deaf ear to a cry for help.

Then i have you by my side,
The waters don't feel so deep,
The mountains don't look too high,
Back into me,my courage creeps.

I can take on a powerful form,
I can rise up and fly,
I can be what no one ever thought any human can be,
All i need is one reason to try.
