Flight of the Scarecrow

He openly spoke of the pain done to him by others
If u didn't want honesty you shouldn't ask him
Loneliness and pills his only friends
His time spent in a world that is totally gray

He opened the door and invited me in
Two like minded souls just sharing a chat
Did it scare you when I made you smile?
I hope I atleast brought a lil happiness into your day

You could tell if you truly took time to look
That within his words lies a tortued child
Despite his past there still remains a beautiful soul
Dear friend I hope that you're able to keep your demons at bay

The Scarecrow has grown wings and left us
He has flown away with his crows
Never bothered to say good-bye
You just disappeared and went away
