People Pleaser

I can't make everything right for everyone.
It disappoints me when the day is done.
I wish that I could put a smile on everyone's face.
I need to realize that this isn't my case.

I can't keep trying constantly to please everyone.
I can't make all their days as bright as the sun.
I can't fix the problems in the world.
I can't convince everyone to move forward.

I can't give their self esteem a boost.
I can't seem to let them all loose.
All of this was nothing but a big fat lie.
I'm not going to rest until I at least try.
