Another Lost Soul

She cries in the night
But smiles during the day

She claims that she is okay
But inside the monsters are tearing her apart

She tries to fight back
But finds herself in a losing the battle

She tries to hide the scars
But fails when someone asks what happened

She says she is going to a friend’s house
But instead she heads for the bridge

She wonders if anyone actually cared,
And whether she should take her life
But she pushes the thoughts aside
Thinking if anyone cared,
They would have already tried to stop her

She closes her eyes and jumps
