Black brothas and sistahs,white ma'ams and misters,latino,mulatto hipsters,i need to help yall get the picture,or maybe preach a sinners views,vocal scripture,cuz a mothers out there crying,pain deep within her,a daughters out there pining for days that wont come,a fathers out there searching,but his childs not home, a sons out there helpless walking the streets alone,how much longer should i deal and accept the senseless,before i stand and speak out to the lost and reckless,not long,im surrounded by uncertainty,distress on hurt faces,tainted lives i see,now giving peace a chance is hyperbole,and truth is a myth,rhymes from a nursery,i must say the main thing thats irking me,is the killer to the left looks just like me,words from dr king seem farfetched,and forget about the lessons from malcolm x,what happened to unity,that power to the people,that loyalty to strengthen our legacy as equals,that passion for better outlooks on life,that goal of colorblindness together we fight,for good,those relics are my motivation,to inspire open minds to urban education, im troubled and worse i am sickened, here's a q-tip for your ears so you can really listen,murder is the worst,no battles ever won,a bullet has no name once its freed from the gun,bruised by the hands,cut from the knife,two souls end up dead in the chill of the night,or the warmth of the day,feel sorry for the killer, the deceased is free,but the living have to think,dwell,dream,nightmares will haunt them with constant flare,rest will never come, their conscious is aware,guilt will consume them, they will never be the same,their smile is a disguise to the truth of shame, to the families left behind,comfort comes with time and though it seems sweet,revenge is always unkind,focus on tomorrow,cuz memories stay forever,teach our children the difference,we have to do better,young minds are molded by observation,so we have to encourage influential motivation,you cant say one thing and show them another, they'll grow up confused and hate each other,you adults need to grow up,petty drama needs to stop,time is being wasted,choose light over dark,our world is in danger of falling apart,stop making excuses,open your hearts,PSA ALERT,ITS HIGHLY REQUESTED,LISTEN,INTERPRET,UNDERSTAND,THE MESSAGE
