Late December
Lower than low
When you touched that boy
His life destroyed before it even began
Excuses that you sell
You bottomed out
A jackal disguised as a recluse
Hands bruised and used
From the start
It's all so wrong
And I would switch places
Even if it was for one single night
Hey it's okay
You had a bad dream
And no he's never coming back
That man is gone
It's just a shadow
Remember your safe with me
And I'll be right outside
To keep him away
It's all so wrong
And I would switch places
Even if it was for one single night
Vengeance is cheap
And you pay for it every time
Sometimes we must forgive the worst
To repair that hole in you
Don't be ashamed
You've grown to be so strong
Someday this fear will cease to control
And no longer remain
Yeah, someday soon
When you touched that boy
His life destroyed before it even began
Excuses that you sell
You bottomed out
A jackal disguised as a recluse
Hands bruised and used
From the start
It's all so wrong
And I would switch places
Even if it was for one single night
Hey it's okay
You had a bad dream
And no he's never coming back
That man is gone
It's just a shadow
Remember your safe with me
And I'll be right outside
To keep him away
It's all so wrong
And I would switch places
Even if it was for one single night
Vengeance is cheap
And you pay for it every time
Sometimes we must forgive the worst
To repair that hole in you
Don't be ashamed
You've grown to be so strong
Someday this fear will cease to control
And no longer remain
Yeah, someday soon
