It Isn't For Attention,
Taking The Blade To Your Skin,Making It Feel Paper Thin,
Watching The Blood Trickle Down Your Wrists,Wiping The Tears,
And Swallowing All Of The Fear,
It Isn't For Attention,
Gripping The Razor,
Pain But Also Relief,
Why Can't They See,
That Its Not Attention They Seek,
Cuts Are Sighns Of Strong People Who Fight Battles Without Anyone Knowing It,
It's Not Because They Want Attention,No.
Its A Sighn Of Them Being To Strong,
They Have To Much Pressure,
It Isn't For Attention,
Pushing The Razor Into Your Skin,Making It Feel So Paper Thin,
Ripping The Piece Of Paper..........

Wow.! I know the pain, cutting can relieve, the pain inside sometimes. Thank you its good to know, I'm not alone.

amazing. I understand the struggle and the torment you can get for self mutilation and how everyone thinks its for attention, and the frustration that brings. its wonderful you could put it to words.

And I wanted to get a different perspective, so I chose one of your first poems you put up here.
It is a true fact that there are some strong people under the blade, but strength can only go so far if they're damaging themselves and digging themselves into pits.
Self-harm is a useful way to go about feeling "relief" because of the chemicals released after the pain--As long as the 'strength' doesn't lead to death or further harming situations (drugs, etc.)
The strength is needed and used to take in the outside world, to dilute it down, to make it become 'tolerable'. But to also allow the one who dilutes to be able to function and continue on with their mental goals and dreams and life.
