that never come close to touching what it's actually like
in reality.
wasted on britney spears
lindsay lohan
the olsen twins
miley cyrus
and what all the tabloids have to say about them.
wasted on facebook, twitter
universal, paramount, fox,
sony, playstation
mircosoft, xbox.
wasted on fast food advertisements
mcdonalds, burger king, tacobell, arby's
coke and pepsi
fucking energy drinks.

wasted on plastic surgery, plastic containers, dating websites,
trendy chewing gum, walmart, reailty tv, ipods, the new england patriots, penis enhancement drugs, talk shows, chanel dresses for your dog, a million and one books about vampires, epic meal time, concerts that cost hundreds of dollars a ticket, cosmetics, painkillers, nuclear weapons, dubstep, the DMV, health insurance, car insurance, house insurance, life insurance, the mall, electric can openers, lawn mowers you ride on, houses that could comfortably fit a small community, credit cards, airplanes, bratzdolls, war, scientology, HBO, showtime, 3D television, fashion magazines, money.

I'm on board for everything on your list as well, and it certainly could go on and on.
My additional peeves with the world are rooted in the pesky mass/energy requirements to keep going as a sentient individual-thing, as much as it has its charms. I suppose all the fly-by billboard offerings of this "world" are meant to stun the senses and maybe offer a few avenues of convenience and step-skipping - but indeed a lot of it certainly tangles the soul and ends up taking up more time than what was sought to be saved. And with the extra expense of these things to the ecosystem and natural order of things, it's not so much the evil that they exist, but that we would use them over and over, again and again.
We need not fill up our nothingnesses with repetitions! I say the path to take is to enjoy the brief slideshow of things, keep searching, pass through all things, but keep going, not stopping anywhere...
Alright! I better get off the internet for the day, enough of my day has been put to waste!

I was thinking back to my comment above a few days ago, tossing and turning sleeplessly for hours (no just kidding on that) and I better go back and add to it before further readers put two and two together: I should restate that my day was put to waste by being on the internet for too long, but NOT for going onto DU and definitely not after reading this poem!
