Religious Disease
For the cross all is lost
Engulfed in robes of frost
Adorned with jewels that haunt
Praying songs that taunt
Preaching laws that flaunt our flaws
Outstretched hands regret
Faith doth reject
Death and sickness reflect
The disease of men
Unknown gods consume
The violence all resumes
Piety of fools in bloom
Logic and sanity they do entomb
Constricted in scripted cocoons
Freed by lies too soon
Marching towards self assured doom
Empty promises all around
The lies told do astound
Bells chime away, a blissful sound
Hymn books sing we are hell bound
Religious intolerance is a crown
The peace you preach can not be found
Demons you Banish laugh so loud
The bane of the insane hovers like a cloud
In the land of the mad
Only the lonely do live free
Witness the fall of man
To his very hands
To drown in holy waters
To die on the pedestal stands
Engulfed in robes of frost
Adorned with jewels that haunt
Praying songs that taunt
Preaching laws that flaunt our flaws
Outstretched hands regret
Faith doth reject
Death and sickness reflect
The disease of men
Unknown gods consume
The violence all resumes
Piety of fools in bloom
Logic and sanity they do entomb
Constricted in scripted cocoons
Freed by lies too soon
Marching towards self assured doom
Empty promises all around
The lies told do astound
