death

death
a figure many are puzzled or inspired by
a great unknown
as we cannot simply ask how it is

some claim they know
and maybe they do
but excuse my doubt if you like
death is final
all you've done is over
though I think not in vain

we are not ghost sent to haunt
or a mysterious spirit
that visits in the night
as we are led to believe
in books and movies
or in a better place
as is said in funerals
a comforting thought?
perhaps
though I believe in an after life
and I believe there's more
I do not think any loved ones
are looking down apon me
from there resting place
