What if I gave up?

I left today will you remember me?
If I died today would you even care?
If I were to disappear would you care to notice?
How about if something bad happened would you shed a tear or walk away?
If i got cancer would you pray or blame God?
Tell me mom wear were you when I almost died.
Where were you those two months I was hospitalized.
I know! you where high as a kite.
Not a care in the world.
Did you have any regret leaving your child at birth?
Did you ever send a happy birthday to the night sky?
Did you ever cry fot the child you abused and left behind.
You told me to give up my life and dreams.
You told me to strive to be like you.
I can't, I won't, I will not.
You want to assume that you have won.
But the war i fight every day has just begun.
You think you can walk back after almost 12 years.
Well you can't.
The scars they are there i know you see them.
The scars you caused.
Ha to think i thought growing up it was all my fault.
To think i wasted tears on soemone like you.
But you want me to give so you can win.
But what if i gave up will that be truly my end.
What if i gave up on love will i be like you.
What if i gave up on life will there peace in my mind.
No matter how many times i think about this i have one thing you'll never get.
I have a heart, Yes its been broken,stomped on, and at times hardned. But i haven't gave up on my family for i love them.
I have not gave up love on bc love has not gave up on me.
So while you getting you next fix.
Your 17 year old daughter will be loving, crying, and haveing her haert broken and mended till she is with the one to whom she is meant to with to spend with ubtill her days are long gone past.
I'll experince this life in a way you never will.
For one day i'll have a family to call my own.
And have a loving home that's with God's will.

So while you gave up on life and love all those years ago ask yourself this. ''What if i didn't give up?''
