The symphony
of crushing eggshells
under your padded feet
as you walk around me;
Reverberated and
reinforced by the
slumped soul
that sits amongst
the tone deaf cries
of defeat...
Darkness is not that
of a silk scarf
but of a blinding
tumble from
grace.
